Victories going into series
We have been a developer and systems partner in international motorsport for many decades. Nothing confirms our technological leadership as strongly as our successes on the "toughest test tracks in the world". MAHLE pistons and engine components in racing engines guarantee maximum performance and outstanding reliability.
Since the 1930s, MAHLE has been successfully involved in Motorsports—a winning combination: In 2009, seven out of ten Formula 1 teams trust in the performance and reliability of our Motorsports components. In the World Rally Championship (WRC), the German Touring Masters (DTM), the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), motorboat races, and numerous other racing events, MAHLE is a sure bet for success.
For 17 consecutive years, the winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans have crossed the finish line with MAHLE pistons. In 2006 until 2010, the Audi team won with the R10 TDI, making history with the first diesel engine in Le Mans. As the diesel engine with the highest specific output in the world, it demonstrates outstanding reliability and performance with MAHLE pistons under the toughest conditions.
All core processes for racing applications have been brought together in our Motorsports plant in Fellbach, Germany. 200 highly motivated specialists fulfill our customers’ requirements flexibly and within the shortest time frame. Of course, many of our insights and technologies from 80 years of experience in motorsport are incorporated in the development of series vehicles. Know-how that makes everyone a winner.
